Do you cover insurance of goods in transit related to foodstuff (dry or frozen) & general merchandise?
Yes, we do; however the cover will vary depending on the exact types of goods, modes of packing, conveyance, voyages involved and sum insured.
What type of cover can you provide for shipments of containerized and non-containerized goods?
We provide ICC ‘A’ coverage, which is the widest insurance coverage for goods related to general merchandise in containers by sea freight.
We provide ICC ‘Air’ coverage, which is the widest insurance coverage for goods by airfreight.
We provide ICC ‘C’ coverage, which is a very basic insurance coverage for non-containerized goods. (ICC ‘A’ can also be provided depending on the cargo and value, with additional warranties)
We provide all-risk land transit for goods in closed vehicles by road, and basic land transit for goods in open vehicles by road.
(Depending on the types of goods, risk-specific exclusions will be applied)
Do you provide insurance cover for shipments of oil in bulk?
Yes, under Bulk oil clauses; however if ICC ‘A’ coverage is required, a survey warranty and an excess deductible will be applied.
Do you insure shipments from/to Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and other countries that are considered high risk?
Yes, we do, after obtaining adequate coverage from Re-insurers in Europe.
Do you provide an annual cover for all shipments?
Yes, depending on the estimated annual turnover and the volume of shipments. Alternatively we can insure cargo on a shipment-to-shipment basis, or on a weekly or monthly declaration basis or on an agreed estimated turnover, with a 75% minimum premium deposit to be paid in advance.
